After 339 days in court, the Supreme Court of BC has decided Tsilhqot'in First Nation v. British Columbia. The decision is the first title decision of its kind since Delgamuukw v. British Columbia. A weighty decision of almost 500 pages, the immediate and potential long-term implications are huge.
First Nations, Industry and the Provincial and Federal governments are now left to interpret this new and very significant decision and determine their next steps.
