Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Ms. Cusack is a graduate of Dalhousie Law School and is a founding director of Pacific Business & Law Institute. She is also a founding director of the non-profit, public policy research organization the Summit Institute Society and President and Director of the Asia Pacific Institute, the latter of which she co-founded in Hawaii in the late 1980's. She has been involved in the research, organization and direction of hundreds of conferences across the country for over twenty years. Pauline is originally from Nova Scotia and moved to Vancouver in 1980. She has experience in international development having worked in Cameroon, West Africa as Directrice of College Fougou in Bangwa. Prior to co-founding PBLI, Pauline was a partner at a full-service, downtown law firm specializing in real estate development, corporate and commercial law. She has been on various boards over the years. She is the mother of two sons, Rory and James, and is a keen gardener.

Director of Technical Operations and DBA

Angela earned her Master’s degree of Computer Application from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics after graduating from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology in China. In 2009, she completed the Applied Database Administration and Design Certificate Program at BCIT, Vancouver. She has experience in project development and management having worked in Australia as a team leader in Queensland University of Technology. Prior to joining PBLI, Angela was a Database Administrator at Nanjing Education Bureau. As an IT professional for over 10 years, she has gained extensive knowledge in design, implementation, administration and backup & recovery of relational databases and is also a seasoned veteran SQL & Crystal Report Developer. She has wide interests in office administration, marketing, volunteer and even cooking. She volunteered as an interpreter of Vancouver School Board and also enjoyed a brief experience cooking in downtown Vancouver. She loves to travel and enjoys cruising around the world.

Administrative Assistant

Reena Sandhar is an Administrative Assistant at Pacific Business and Law Institute (PBLI). She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Certificate in Legal Studies. Prior to joining PBLI, she gained experience in the legal field through an internship with RTG Law Group, where she supported lawyers in criminal and family matters.

As she works toward her goal of pursuing law school, she is particularly interested in environmental law and the intersection of law, policy, and environmental issues. She is passionate about nature and wildlife and hopes to contribute in preserving its beauty for generations to come. She is continuing to expand her understanding of the legal field and is grateful for the opportunity to learn from the wealth of experience and knowledge represented by the legal professionals and experts who contribute to PBLI’s programs. Her role at PBLI allows her to develop her professional experience while gaining exposure to a wide range of legal and policy issues.

Outside of work, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the outdoors on nature walks with her dog, Moose.
